The next Inktober drawing I chose to do was for the topic "found." For that day, I drew Mario finding a Power Moon. At the time, Super Mario Odyssey was just released, and I was completely hooked! I thought it would be fitting if I drew a scene of Mario discovering a moon.
I've always enjoyed the 2D Mario art style (which now I believe it was a heavy influence to my style), and I've noticed that the artwork is done with Adobe Illustrator, so I thought it'd be fitting if I did the artwork with Illustrator.
I drew/colored Mario and the Power Moon in Illustrator, while I did the line art for both the fore/background elements in Illustrator and colored it in Photoshop. Below is the result!
Personally, I really love how this one came out. I've never really used Illustrator to create artwork like this before, but the process was definitely a learning experience.
Well, I did recreate the Ketchup Man artwork with Illustrator, but that was more easier and a straightforward process compared to this one.
Nevertheless, I think it's a pretty neat recreation and tribute to the 2D Mario art style and Odyssey game in general.

Squeak/Shy Illustration (Inktober)
I went ahead and redid another favorite Inktober drawing of mine digitally and in color. For this drawing it was for the topic "squeak," in which I drew a character of mine, Danielle, tightly embracing her favorite childhood toy, a big mouse plushie.
Even though the mouse toy doesn't squeak in the new version, the drawing itself and Danny's pose has been fixed/adjusted, so now it all looks better.
One of the Inktober drawings I selected to redraw digitally was a drawing I did for the "shy" topic (which is another Danielle drawing), but that was retooled to be used for the character line-up back when I started to redraw that.
It's kinda similar here between the two.
I guess you can say that I actually had two Inktober drawings I redid to show off here!
That's all for now!

Adventures of the Past: Ketchup Man
Back when I was in elementary school, I remember during lunch that me and a friend would play with our food. More specifically, we'd play with our ketchup packets because it had this image of this ketchup packet wearing sunglasses and a leather jacket. We dubbed him as the "Ketchup Man." It was really hilarious to mess around with and for some reason, after many many many many year later, I still remember the Ketchup Man.
One night, I started Googling up pictures of old school lunches at school and during that, I remembered the Ketchup Man and tried Googling that cartoon up. Unsurprisingly, his "official" name wasn't actually Ketchup Man so I had to do some digging around for an image of this guy.
To my luck, I found a pretty great hi-res photo of that very ketchup packet!
Apparently, he goes by the name (or title) of "Leader of the Packets."
Here's the source for the photo above if anyone is wondering.
Needless to say, I was pretty happy about finally seeing this guy again after all these years! That excitement didn't last long when I found out really quickly that there's no image of the artwork itself out in the wild internet, so I tasked myself with the fun project of recreating (tracing over) the image in Adobe Illustrator so I can have a clear, high resolution vector drawing of this character.
And it's done! It was a fun side project!
I posted this on my Twitter and Instagram pages, tagging the Heinz Ketchup pages in hopes of a reply to see if they remember their own outdated mascot, but they haven't said anything as of now.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with reviving this old character with a fresh, clean vector artwork!

Updated Propinquity Character Line-Up
Sorry to keep ya waiting!
During my spring break, I went straight into finishing this character line-up! This time around, for the whole "redrawing" bit, instead of redrawing them from tracing the old line art, I completely redrew them again from the ground up.
...okay okay, I did trace my artwork, but this time, I drew them traditionally first, then traced that artwork in Photoshop, so that they really look like I drew them very recently.
And to make it more interesting, I drew them in more interesting poses!
Here's the final result below!
Of course, compared to the last one, there's a handful of changes in design and adjustments in coloring.
I'm extremely ecstatic by how this one came out! I mean look at them all! They all look great! My next goal is to do the exact same process all over again for Class of 2422.
Wish me luck!
