Belated Birthday with No Art

Hey! I'm a few days late on this one, but it was my birthday four days ago!

Unfortunately, I didn't have any art ready for that day, which is why I didn't make any post on the day of. I also just wasn't feelin' it.

My drawing productivity really did take a nosedive ever since I started working at my stupid retail job, but I've been making some effort to draw. I'm still obsessing and sketching about a new story idea and its characters. At this point, I just need to make a small illustration to properly announce it to you guys.

Speaking of the birthday art, I only really had two working ideas, but the first one is a bit of a depressing idea and the second one kind of has an unintended innuendo that I didn't want to post to the internet.

Quarter of a Century Old

Hey ho! Today's that day again!

Can you believe it? I'm now a quarter of a century old!

Let's celebrate that with this pretty cool-looking quarter!

Birthday 23!

Welp! Another year on this Earth, which means another piece of birthday artwork!

Of course I'm canon in my own worlds! Who do you think pays the electric bill?

I wanted to add more characters (both unknown, new, and current ones) but I didn't want to overcrowd the drawing. I think it'd be nice to be apart of my own worlds and interact with my own characters.

We're only half way into 2019 and I still have goals I want to accomplish before the year ends. Clip Studio finally went on sale and I recently got a trial for ToonBoom Harmony. I know for a fact that my next animation will be done with Clip Studio instead of Adobe Animate; I'm sure I've already expressed my love/hate relationship with that program before somewhere on this blog.

That, and a comic book. I really hope this year is the year things will start changing/moving in my favor, whether it's finally landing a job as an artist or having a productive year with finished products I can be proud of.

Turning 22 on the 22nd!

Hello! Seems like today is certain day that a certain somebody turns a certain year older on a certain day! It's my birthday today!
Here's a drawing I drew up to mark the occasion!

I though about trying out a new style for today's drawing!
I actually have a another version of this drawing where it's drawn in my usual cartoon style, but when I posted a poll on my Instagram page asking viewers if they like style A (my usual style) or style B (the style you see here), there was overwhelming support for style B!

So that's what you see here!

Also, I feel that today is a rare special day today since the age I'm turning into matches the date of my birth date (the 22nd), hence the whole "turning-22-on-the-22nd" bit.

The Ol' Big 21

Oh look! It's my birthday today! I reached the beer-chuggin' age of 21!

Whoa! I made it to the 20th year of my life! Crazy, right?
My parents have been endlessly bugging me to get a job, so today's cartoon reflects that.

Just Another 18-Year-Old Who Turned 19

You heard right! I'm 19!
But everyone else is still older than me!
Sorry that I don't have a drawing for this day. I couldn't think of anything good early enough.

Nothing much has changed ever since I turned 18, expect that I finished my first year of college. I don't know how I survived my first year in college, but here I am, still breathing apparently!

I really don't have any plans for my birthday. I don't even feel much excitement about it either. It's not because I dread today or anything. I guess as the years go by, it just slowly turns into another normal day, except of course that you'll get the "Happy Birthday" greeting from an extremely small set of family members who remembered. I'm fine with that.

I know for a fact that my Facebook notifications will blow with people wishing me a happy birthday. Of course, I know they won't actually know my birthday if I took off my birth date from my profile. I'd love to do that one of these years and see the results, heh heh heh.

I don't know what to expect for my 19th year of life. For some reason, I always think something awesome and amazing will happen each and every year, but it doesn't.
Guess I've got to stop giving myself a big expectation for every year, eh?

Nonetheless, happy happy happy birthday to me today!
