Today, I launched a page here that has all the drawings I've posted on this blog and to other pages so far. Check it out here.

Off Track Doodle
My mind wandered off track during my Character Design class and I drew this on the corner of the drawing document I was working on. I liked it so I cropped it off from the document.
I wasn't trying on dictating the result to a certain style or anything, but I like how it turned out at the end.

Falling Apart
No matter how well you respond to it, everyone's going to be criticized on something.
In my Character Design class, we had to turn in our sketchbook that we have to do (which I am still not use to doing). Most of my drawings were kind of rushed, which means I really shouldn't care what the teacher had to say about them because I knew they were crap and I still don't have a solid idea on how exactly we're suppose to draw our characters (because since it's a character design class, we have to draw characters for our sketchbook.)
Main point is, he said some things that for some reason seem to kind of insult me, which I take fault for feeling that way since that class is really the first time I'm surrounded by artists that are better than me at something I do a lot and that the fact that I've been 99% "self-taught" on a lot of aspects of drawing without any input/advice on improvements from any artists.
He said that I needed to show some construction lines (okay, I agree), that some of my characters are flat (whatever that means, but okay), and finally that my characters seem to "fall apart," whatever the hell THAT means.
I know that I shouldn't let that bother me, but it kind of does which is stupid since I already know very well that what I drew was crap just to get by.
The point of this post isn't to show any kind of hate towards criticism on what I get (because that's how you improve), but rather to show this drawing that was inspired by that line of critique:

Murabito
I was messing around with Flipnote Studio 3D and decided to take a picture of my Villager amiibo. The Japanese text reads "murabito," which is Villager's name in Japanese.

Hatena Featured Artist
Back when Flipnote Hatena was around, I was known as "Limelight" in the community. I've had my fair share of rising up in the ranks, like a few other creators have. I was digging around the Internet searching for any trace of my existence on Flipnote Hatena since I thought it'd be a great little "Internet time capsule" to keep around.
Surprisingly, I found that someone copied and pasted the entire article in which I was the Hatena Featured Artist for the week! It seems like this guy copied and pasted a ton of articles and weekly updates that the site admin posted throughout Hatena's run, but since we're talking about me here, let's focus on me (God, I sounded so conceded.)
Here's the link to that interview when I was a Hatena Featured Artist which can be found...

Silhouettes and Roughs
The first assignment we've been given in my Character Design class was to do silhouettes and rough sketches of a turtle, cat, and bird character (with choosing one of the three types if birds offered, in which I chose the flamingo.)
I guess we had to print them out on legal size paper, so I did just that. Now I want to share these three pages of drawings I drew up in class because that's what this blog is about: posting stuff I drew.
Here's the turtle drawings:

I'm not the best at drawing animals at all, but I think they turned out alright. I can live with the end results since I'm satisfied with what I've got.

Japanese 101
Since I'm taking a Japanese class now, I thought this particular drawing I drew up several months ago can finally be of relevance.
Funny story though. I've never taken any language classes at all before, so I didn't know that in these classes the teachers would be mostly in the language they're learning and sometimes switch in talking English.
So on the first day of Japanese, the teacher started speaking in Japanese and I totally freaked out on the inside because I thought I had walked into like a more advanced Japanese class since I expected that the instructor would teach mainly in English to better us in learning the language.
By our second class meeting, I had eased down and became used to what the instructor was doing. It was kind of funny how I freaked out internally though.
