After two years of what seems to be endless amount of waiting, Nintendo has finally announced that Flipnote Studio is finally arriving to the 3DS in February!
The news arrived along side the announcement of the closing of Club Nintendo, a loyalty rewards program. They've mentioned that every Club Nintendo member will receive a download code within the month of February to download the animating application.
I'm totally stoked to see the return of Flipnote Studio!

Messing Around With a Poster
I have a "Back to the Future" movie poster that proudly hangs on my wall in my room. It's my all-time favorite movie! Remember that now!
Now recently, I've started writing up short "to-do lists" on post-it notes, and I wanted to put them somewhere where I'll see them all the time, so I thought, "Hey, I look at the BTTF poster a lot, so I'll put 'em there!"
Once I did that, however, I hatched a funny little idea...
"WELL GOLLY! WOULD YOU LOOK AT THE TIME?!"

The "Praying Mantis"
Now, I usually don't share anything from my life on here, but this one event had me laughing too hard.
Me, my cousin, and my brother were playing a game on the Wii U which is very similar to "Pictionary," and my brother was the one drawing. He only had a few seconds until his turn was up and he had to drawing something that he had no idea on how to draw. To the best of his ability, he drew this weird thing:
So what the heck was this suppose to be?
The results was just too funny for me to handle.

A praying mantis. They're such holy and spiritual insects.

Counter-Joking
So I came up with one motherfrickin' amazing counter attack to the "Time for you to get a watch" bit whenever you ask for the time. Simply brilliant!
Damn, it's been about a month since I made this snappy and witty comeback to a friend and I'm still very giddy about it! It's just too good!
As I've stated before, the first episode to the "Austin and Jennifer" series is entirely based off of this very comic strip. The previous post has the A&J comic strip so you can make the comparison if you're feelin' the mood for it.

Austin and Jennifer
I finally went ahead and started a comic series on Tapastic! As the title of the post says, the series is titled "Austin and Jennifer," and it's about a sports-fanatic brother, an artistic sister, and their life, always harassing each other and whatnot because we all know brothers and sisters get along so well.
I created the page for the series awhile ago, and the first episode is finally online, so go check it out here, but because I'm nice, it's here also.
I have to be honest, since I pre-type a lot of my blog posts, this post was originally suppose to be posted before I actually started publishing on Tapastic, but there was a small delay since at the last minute I decided to do a small alteration of Austin's appearance, which is a notable difference between this and the published strip(if you actually went to check out the page). It was a bit of a hassle since I had already created three comic strips for the series.
The above strip was placed in this post before I drew up three more strips and did the alterations. More episodes are coming soon so stay tuned!
To give more in-sight, this particular comic strip is entirely based off another comic strip that I wrote not too long ago, which will go up a little bit later after this post. I wanted the first episode in the series to not be based off of another comic I created, but considering this is the first episode in the series, I figured it's got to be very funny and would reel the reader in to read more, so I went with copying myself. *sigh*
If anyone's a regular reader, you already know my weird obsession with trying to be original in everything, which I know is an impossible task, but bear with me here.
Of course, it's not going to be a series that's entirely going to be recreations of other comic strips I've created before.
Funny enough though, when I usually create characters, they undergo through some sort of development period that seems to never end.
Not with these characters though.
Let's see how that turns out.
